Helping hands: Vibe Credit Union employees volunteer 300+ hours; Detroit Auto Dealers Association Fund grants $300,000

Aug 22, 2023

Employees at Novi-based Vibe Credit Union volunteered more than 300 hours in partnership with Waterford Twp. nonprofit, Disaster Relief at Work (DRAW).

Over the past year, DRAW and Vibe Credit Union employees have worked together on three successful DRAW volunteer events, resulting in 328 Vibe volunteer hours dedicated to disaster relief efforts in the United States, according to a press release from Vibe.

“In July, 30+ Vibe volunteers helped DRAW prepare and load more than $45k in furnishings that were used to replace most of the school furniture at an elementary school in East Detroit, a community that was wrecked by the Detroit floods of 2021. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Vibe Credit Union,” said Greg Martin, Executive Director from DRAW.

Volunteers will also be assisting DRAW in the nonprofit’s 6th annual 5K Bucket Run on Saturday, Sept. 16, with proceeds to benefit victims of natural disasters.

Throughout the year, Vibe Credit Union employees also volunteered with other organizations such as Metro Food Rescue, and helped Hope Against Trafficking with its Spring Clean-Up event, May 20.
